The action-packed Acura anime series, Chiaki’s Journey, returns today for its highly-anticipated second season with four new entertaining episodes. Introducing the new 2024 Acura Integra Type S, the most powerful, best performing Integra ever, the turbocharged new season of Chiaki’s Journey willdebut during this weekend’s 48th annual Acura Grand Prix of Long BeachTo view the trailer for Chiaki’s Journey season twovisit: acura.us/season2trailer.

Chiaki’s Journey premiered in 2022, chronicling the exhilarating adventures of Chiaki, a young racing protégé, and her wise uncle Noboru. The first season has been viewed nearly 275 million times, making it Acura’s most successfully viewed campaign to date.  In season two, picking up where season one left off, we learn about Chiaki’s father, Ichiro, along with Ichiro’s teammate from the past, called P, as Chiaki takes on Colorado’s daunting Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the new 2024 Integra Type S.

Bringing the fun-filled anime series to life, the Acura Integra Type S will make its motorsports debut June 25 at The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, brought to you by Gran Turismo, piloted by successful racer, Loni Unser. Unser is a fourth-generation race car driver, following her father Johnny, who raced at the Indianapolis 500, with the Unser family (Al, Bobby and Al, Jr.) winning nine Indy 500 championships. The Unsers were the first family to race in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, a tradition that began in 1926 with Louis and Joe Unser. Through three generations of Unser racers, the overall crown, King of the Mountain, was earned twenty-six times. Loni made her debut at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 2022 finishing an impressive 2nd in division.

In celebration of Chiaki’s Journey’s second season, Uncle Noboru’s garage from the anime series will come to life as a full-scale Type S garage at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Throughout the weekend, race attendees can visit Uncle Noboru’s Type S garage featuring the 2024 Integra Type S, along with “easter eggs” from the new season. Additionally, the #93 Racers Edge Acura NSX GT-3 Evo22 driven by Mario Farnbacher and Ashton Harrison – and the Acura vehicles pacing this weekend’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach – will feature anime-style wraps tied to the debut of Chiaki’s Journey season two.

The characters featured throughout Chiaki’s Journey represent the heritage and challenger spirit of the Acura brand and its unrelenting passion for performance. Special appearances of vehicles like the RealTime Racing Integra Type R from the 1990s will pay homage to Integra’s strong racing history throughout the series. Chiaki’s Journey season two’s soundtrack once again is provided by the Japanese all-female metal band NEMOPHILA and their track “Raitei.”
