Ottawa Auto Show: 2019 Acura RDX

Published on March 22 2018

Introduced for the first time at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the all-new 2019 Acura RDX has now arrived in Canada and you can discover it today at the Ottawa Auto Show. The new 2019 Acura RDX you'll see is still a prototype, but it still looks a lot like the new Acura RDX generation we'll see this summer. With even more impressive technologies, better performance and an even more luxurious interior, the new 2019 Acura RDX will certainly have a lot to offer.

With a new, more muscular yet refined design, an even more economical engine and all-new connectivity technologies, the 2019 Acura RDX will be a model to watch this year.

For starters, this third-generation Acura RDX is built on a brand new platform that increases the RDX's wheelbase to provide more passenger space and more cargo space. In other words, the 2019 Acura RDX will be even more versatile and spacious than the model it replaces.

We are also entitled to an SUV which will be much more technologically advanced and featuring two screens of 10.5 and 10.2 inches respectively included in the dashboard. It will be possible to control the Android interface of these screens through a touchpad that, according to Acura, will be very easy to use and very accurate.

Under the hood, the 2019 Acura RDX will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine whose power is not yet known, but that we know will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an advanced and improved SH-AWD all-wheel drive system.
